“There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. ”
– Nelson Mandela
In this ‘age of social media’, it’s easy to get carried away with how many Facebook/ Twitter/IG ‘likes’ we have. At the end of the day those figures are irrelevant. It’s how we feel being in our own company, help others and add value to their lives and our own that’s important.
Everyone has the ability to make a difference, that in itself is an amazing thing. You don’t have to come up with the next big invention, revolutionize an industry or be a well known figure to change the world and the lives of those around you. Just sharing a laugh with someone can make a difference.
The author Elisabeth Gilbert once said ” I have never seen any life transformation that didn’t begin with the person in question finally getting tired if their own bullshit”.
I think we are getting there in the world right now. A large portion of us is making great changes in our own lives in order to feel better and do better since we seek a better unison with each other, ourselves and the world we live in. And the other half is still in the past, afraid of letting go of what was, thinking they will get less if they change. We have come to a point where a new paradigm is emerging. A new world. And it will not transform smoothly on all levels. And the only thing we do know is that everything changes.
But maybe when we look back on this point in history, a hundred years from now, maybe we are able to say – wow they really moved through a lot of challenges quite fast there. Because everything is spinning faster. We believe so since we live in this media world today where everything is reported in realtime.
I am so exited to be sharing some new workshops and happenings with you. First, on the topic of change, me and the marvelous Cecilia Duberg have a workshop on “The art of Change” in Stockholm on Oct 1 Then I am teaching a creativity/yogaretreat “Unleash your potential” with my creative coach colleague, Katrin Sandberg at Asia Spa in Varberg, 25-27 Nov, on how to be more creative and use all whats inside, even the darker aspects.
Hope to see you there or in a creative space or on a yogamat perhaps!
Lots of love,
